Sleeping is something we do that we all have in common with one another, yet exactly how we sleep compared to each other is a different matter. Sleep is essential to life and I’m sure we all would like to improve the way we sleep. Many of us don’t get as much sleep as we would like, and this is down to a variety of factors, some of which are out of our control.
Only 1 in 10 people actually sleep right the way through the night, and the older you get, the less likely you are too. 5% of people ages 55+ sleep through the night, compared with 26% of 18-24 year olds.
You and your partner’s habits can have quite a significant influence on your sleep. Depending on your activity before bed, your brain might not be ready for sleep, even though you may feel tired. A surprising amount of people watch TV and use their electronics prior to bed, which can have a negative effect on their sleep.
